Chief Justice Maria Salas Mendoza was sworn in on January 10th in El Paso. Chief Salas Mendoza is the second Latina to serve as chief justice for the 8th Court of Appeals. She was sworn in by long-time friend and fellow founding TLJ board member Justice Gina Benavides. Several TLJ members proudly attended to support the momentous occasion.
